Through the Office of the Grizzly Bear Recovery Coordinator, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service personnel have monitored the Cabinet-Yaak and Selkirk Ecosystem grizzly bear populations since the late 1970s. A formal monitoring program started in 1983. Recent annual reports are listed below.
