The Executive Committee of the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee is convening virtually March 14 at 2:30PM MT / 1:30PM PT for a business meeting. The public is invited to the virtual meeting via Zoom.

Among items on the agenda, will be reports from agency members on ongoing work, a continuation of the strategic discussion from last December, and updates from the Bear Resistant Container Testing Program, and from the working group that is developing a framework that communities can use to reduce the frequency of human-bear conflicts and decrease the risks to human safety (Bear Smart Communities). The IGBC’s mission is to support recovery, delisting and ongoing conservation of grizzly bear populations through interagency coordination of policy, planning, management, research and communication.
